Pennsylvania Massage Therapists Closer to State Regulations - On Tuesday, the House voted 193-5 to approve a plan by Majority Whip Keith McCall, D-Carbon, that calls for licensing Pennsylvania massage therapists. Nancy Porambo, president of Pennsylvania's chapter of the American Massage Therapy Association, said licenses are crucial because they establish educational guidelines, help eliminate ''unscrupulous and unqualified individuals'' and raise awareness of the therapeutic benefits of massage therapy.
